How to: Heat-less Loose Waves

Hello my lovely followers! Today I want to to share with you all a fast and easy way to get loose waves without a heating tool! I usually don't use heat on my hair because I dye it often and my hair doesn't need any more damage. Also, this is just a quick way of styling my hair instead of spending 45 min curling it! Enjoy!

Products you will need:

- (Optional) Mousse: TRESemme: Tes Extra Hold Mousse
-Styling Cream: Pantene: Split End Repair
-Split End Treatment: Biosilk: Silk Therapy

1. Start with semi-damp hair and apply split end treatment of your choice
*Note: If you have thinner hair you can start with damper hair but mine is thick.

2.Brush out hair with a wide-tooth comb
*Note: Brushing your hair with a wide-tooth comb when wet pulls less on the hair and causes less damage

3. Pull hair into a ponytail
*Note: If you want your waves to start higher , make your ponytail higher. If you want them to start from the roots, skip this step and start with a french braid

4. Make a regular 3 strand braid/plait
*Note: If you want more defined waves or small waves, you can part your hair into two ponytails and make 2 braids

5. When you get to the bottom of the braid, tie the end and make a loop like pictured above
*Note: If you don't do this step, you will be left with straight ends and that won't look good with the rest of your waves

Now you can either go to sleep in the braid/plait or you can wait till your hair is completely dry. I usually go to sleep in my braid.

6. Un-tie your braid/plait. (Optional): Apply a styling cream while scrunching it up with your hands
*I use the Pantene: Split End Repair because it styles my hair and repairs it too.
*Note: You can also use mousse but I prefer the split end repair

And you are all done! :)

I hope you all enjoyed. Have a hair tutorial you would like me to do? Leave a comment below! :)

Influenster Review: NYC New York Color

Hey everyone! So I recently received the Latina Vox Box from Influester! I usually post influenster reviews on my nail blog but I think I'm going to start reviewing them here because the products are more beauty related! Enjoy! :)

*I received this product complimentary to test through Influenster’s VoxBox program

About Product:
-Liquid Lipshine ($2.49). It has pure pigments that created a 3-D gloss effect. Vitamin E provides shine and a moisturizing feel. The formula is non-sticky, super shiny & soft. Available in 10 on-trend shades from neutral nudes, to berries & fuchsias

My thoughts:
-I loved this lip gloss! This shade really isn't my color but I will be purchasing more in different shades! I love the applicator, it is a bit different than regular lip glosses. The smell of this is sweet and not harsh. This is also not too sticky and lasts a couple of hours! I would definitely recommend purchasing this!

Where to buy:
-Start shopping for NYC at these stores nearest you: Walmart, Target, Rite Aid, CVS, Family Dollar, Duane Reade, Kmart, HEB, and others.  Visit newyorkcolor.com to check out all shades and fun products from New York Color!

Maybelline Mega Plush Mascara Review

Hey everyone! It's been a month or so since I picked up this mascara and I'm finally getting around to reviewing.

Packaging Info:
-Gel-mousse mascara with 40% less hard waxes for massive volume with a supple touch
-Extra-soft, patented Flexor Brush caresses lashes
-Lashes never brittle or flaky
-Available in washable and waterproof formulas

-My thoughts:
-Love the formula, it has a perfect consistency
-The brush is very nice and just the right size, however I don't see the point of having the brush bend
-Separates lashes AMAZINGLY!
-Does not leave lashes flaky or hard
-Great for a natural look
-Does not give much volume or length

Overall I loved this mascara only because it separates my lashes like crazy! I would recommend wearing this mascara on days where you don't wear too much makeup. What I like to do is use this mascara as a base to separate lashes then apply your favorite mascara and then apply this mascara again!

Eyebrow Threading

Hey everyone! I decided to make a post about eyebrow threading because it's become quite popular since last year and because it's my favorite way of keeping my eyebrows looking good.

I started eyebrow threading last year and fell in love with it. However, I rarely went to the mall so I hardly ever got them done. I started plucking them myself and overtime I had made them way too thin and lost my shape. So    for a couple months now I let them grow out so I could go back to eyebrow threading!

Below are my before & after pics!

Before:

After:

As you can see, the results are soo amazing! They know how to shape your eyebrow perfectly.

Here's what I know about eyebrow threading:

-Price ranges from $10-$15
-Hurts LESS than waxing/tweezers
-Uses 100% cotton thread
-Lasts about 2-3 weeks

*Notes:

*I do it about every month or so
*Be sure to that the person who will be doing it is experienced. Inexperience can lead to uneven eyebrows, pain, hair breakage, and  ingrown hairs
*The only thing I don't like about eyebrow threading is that  I break out a bit more around my forehead and eye area due to the lack of hairs.

Where I get them done:

-I get them done at the mall at a salon called Brow Art 23
-They offer soo many services:
 -Lip Threading
 -Full Face
 -Entire Body
 -Eyelash Extensions
 -Henna Tattoos
 -Permanent Makeup
-Here is a link so you can find a location near you and more information: Brow Art 23

*Have any of you tried eyebrow threading??

Mini Shopping Haul

Hello my lovelies! So, one thing I don't like about summer is that I shop like crazy and spend all my money. The other day I was at the grocery store w/ my mom and ended up buying more than I intended to. Anyways, I thought I would share a little haul! Enjoy!

-Hard Candy: Take It Off Makeup Remover
-I wanted to try a cheaper alternative than my Estee Lauder Total Makeup Remover

-Pantene: Split End Repair
-My hair is super damaged right now since I've been dying it every month. Hopefully this helps my ends a bit

-Elf: Contouring & Bronzing Palette
-I've so many good things about this but I hardly go to Target (most Elf products there). So, the other day at Wal-Mart I saw they added an e.l.f aisle and picked this up!

-Garnier Nutrisse: Ultra Color in Golded Brown
-Since February I've been dying my hair a bright red auburn and I decided I need a change so I am going to try this out tomorrow! (I might take before and after pics if I like it)

-Rimmel: Scandaleyes Mascara
-I seriously don't need any more mascaras BUT I had a coupon for these and thought why not. I'm not sure how I'll feel about it since I love my maybelline mascaras!

-Save up for a Purse Piggy Bank
-I only bought this because it matches my room! lol I don't need any more purses, I might save for something else but this was  just soo cute!
